On September 3 -5, Ekem’s President attended the regional working meeting of POPRC organized by UNEP (United Nations Environment Program) in Bangkok Thailand. It was the first company in Fujian to participate in such a high-level meeting.POPRC, namely persistent organic pollutants review committee, is a subordinate organization of United Nations Environment Program devoted to the management of persistent organic pollutants discharge.
The meeting aims to strengthen the awareness among Asia-Pacific countries in fulfilling the standards of POPRC and to increase participation in the review process, namely the recognition and evaluation of new POPs (persistent organic pollutants).
