Win-win cooperation with colleges and universities---- on Zhangzhou “ Blue Fire Plan”

On January 18, the second experimental operation of “Blue Fire Plan” of the Ministry of Education was launched in Zhangzhou City. 200 experts from 46 colleges and research institutions across the county, together with heads of relative governmental agencies of Zhangzhou city and enterprise representatives attended the launching ceremony.

In his opening speech, Li Zhiming, director of science and technology development center of the ministry of education, said that “Blue Fire Plan” is a specific task serving the need for building a innovative country and improving independent innovation, deepening the cooperation between colleges and local enterprises, promoting district innovation and technical innovation. 

The launching of “Blue Fire Plan” will provide a platform of communication between researchers and local government and enterprises. The results of scientific research developed by colleges will serve local economy through transfer of technology, and through this platform, local governments and enterprises will obtain technical support from colleges. This will lead to win-win cooperation between colleges, local governments and local enterprises. It was reported that 56 enterprises had signed cooperation contracts with colleges. Ekem ( Fujian) Chemicals Co.Ltd. signed cooperation contracts with Xiamen University. 

The project of cooperation with Xiamen University is the passivating technology of Galvanized cr3 + blunt. The application of this scientific result will reduce the environmental damage of Hexavalent chromium passivation. It will be the first one in China to apply nano hole sealing technology in the environment-friendly three chromium passivant. This will solve the shortcoming of lack of self-healing in traditional trivalent chromium and improve its corrosion resistance ability, which can even be higher than the traditional Hexavalent chromium passivation. 

As a green high-tech chemical enterprise, Ekem’s cooperation with colleges will greatly improve its ability in research and development, thus devoting itself to the development of local economy.
